Lokesh Gupte, full name Lokesh Vijay Gupte is a Marathi television, theatre, and film actor. He completed his graduation from Symbiosis College in Pune, Maharashtra, in Bachelor of Commerce. After the completion of the degree, Vijay came to Mumbai, Maharashtra, to try in the field of acting. Lokesh started his career as an assistant director for theatre and television personality, Vijay Apte for Tele-Vision series, later for the news-based programs and commercials for TV. The experience gave a kick start to his Television career.

Gupte worked as an Editor for more than five years, in famous-film projects like Housefull, Runanubandha, Shreeyut Gangadhar Tipre, Hum Pardesi ho Gaye, Bedhunda, etc. Apart from editing the popular projects, he did several Corporate films, Telefilms and Sand TV’s Commercials for Video-Album. Lokesh Gupte opened up his Studio, which did not run for long due to exhausting hours, and Vijay got back to acting in a Marathi TV-Show “Vaadalvaat.” He started commercial Theatre with the famous play, ‘ME NATHURAAM GODSE BOLATOY,’ which got highly recognized and theatre-lovers.

Some of the best commercial-work seen in “Hero Honda,” “ICICI life insurance,” “Kesari tours” and “Fiat India.” In 1997, Lokesh started his Television career as an actor, starring in the serial “Sangati,” directed by Vinay Apte.

The show gave him recognition as a TV actor. He did more than ten TV-Serials and gave him a huge fan-base. Some of his known roles in Marathi blockbuster films are seen in “Pratibimb (2011),” in the character of Raje’s Employee, “Dambis (2011),” in the character of Sidhhant, “Davpech (2011),” in the role of Gulabrao Kate, in 2013 for the movies, “My dear Yash,” as ‘Sameer Desai’ and “Premsutra” as ‘Sujit Pathak.’ The 2015 hit “Mungla,” directed by Vijay Devkar, gave him the chance to play one of the main characters in the movie.
