Kayoze Irani made his debut in ’s film Student Of The Year(SOTY)’. He is son of actor , who had impressed the audiences in Khosla Ka Ghosla, 3 Idiots and My Wife’s Murder.

Before making debut in cinema, he had done a lot of ad films. Later on, he took the job of assistant director on Ek Main Aur Ekk Tuu with ( director). The young actor considers being an assistant director was his best experience in life. It was then Shaku Batra advised him to make a debut in Dharma Productions (Karan Johar) in SOTY, which was under planning stage then.

When Karan offered him the role, he was very nervous, but Karan felt that, he would be a good actor as he has his father’s (Boman Irani) genes. Thus he made his debut in SOTY. Being Boman Irani’ son, it has given him a good privilege and he was accepted as a supporting actor. However, he did not share a strict dad-son-equation in any film. He had confessed that he would have loved to get a character like R. Madhavan’s in 3 Idiots or like Kunaal Roy Kapur’s in Delhi Belly.

As he was an assistant director it could be much easy for him to turn into direction even, A few years later, the actor might take up direction even.

His journey into ad films was equally impressive. He had featured in an advertisement that had Bollywood superstar Sharukh Khan (Himani Sona Chandi Chyawanpras). Even his presence in Tata Indicom advertisement became popular. Though he appeared in couple of ads, it did not go to prove that he was a modeler at all. He was just an actor who felt he could perform like his dad Boman Irani.

Whether it was as an assistant director of Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu or as the tubby Sudo in SOTY, he won hearts of people indeed.
