Ali Haider, is the most celebrated Pakistani singer-songwriter, musician, and actor. Haider was born on October 1967 in Karachi, situated in Pakistan. He was born into a traditional Urdu speaking conservative family. He is the only son of his well-settled parents. He also has three siblings, three beautiful sisters. Haider entered into wedlock in 2006. He leads a very happy and contented life with his wife. They had a son together. He had a number of hit and popular songs to his credit in the 1990’s. The most notable were the number Porani Jeans . The same song is reproduced in his 1993 album Sandesa.

Towards the end of the 1990’s, he had yet another hit with Chand Sa Mukhra. He also acted in various Television serials on PTV, including Chand Sa Mukhra. The serial had a large number of people following it. Haider started his career in the music industry while he was pursuing a degree in civil engineering at the NED University. He debuted as an actor in the Lollywood film industry with the film Chalo Ishq Larain, which was released in 2002. The movie received mixed reviews from the film critics and was well received at the box office. Lollywood is the Pakistani film industry which is based in the city of Lahore in the Gotham district. The term was first coined in the summer of 1989by the no longer existing magazine Glamour published by the gossip columnist Saleem Nasir.

The name parallels with American film industry’s nickname Hollywood. The film industry has largely Urdu films as it is the common interest and cultural epistome of the city. In 2012, he returned to music after a three-year long break. Later, in 2013, he made a coming back to TV with a sitcom named “Ek Aur Ek Dham”. On the requests from the fan followers, a music album was released in 1993 by Haider named “The Best of Ali Haider”. The album consisted of all his major hits and a selection of songs from the earlier albums like Mahi and Ajnabi.
