Ali Baldiwala

Ali Baldiwala is a Hindi movie actor in Indian film industry and is also a well-known interior designer. His debut and the latest release has been neerja. Ali Baldiwala is born and is still residing in Mumbai. Born to Mr. Bakir Baldiwala Ali completed his intermediate from GD Somani School and completed his graduation from HR College of commerce and economics. Ali had discovered his passion for acting at a very early age, but he never got a chance to do so. After completing his graduation from HR College, he started studying interior designing from Rachana art institute. He not even got one chance to pursue acting as his career. After completing his studies in interior designing, he started his career in it but as always still had the wish to perform in film and TV industry. Ali Baldiwala got the chance to act in the film neerja.

Released on 19th February 2016 neerja was a biographical action thriller film directed by ram madhvani. Produced under fox star production, the film is based on a factual incident where a girl neerja who is an air hostess does all she is capable of to save the passengers from the terrorists who have hijacked the plane. Ali had played the role of a hijacker in the picture and has been acclaimed by the critics and the audience too for his acting. The movie was a blockbuster and also received many awards which include screen awards, film fare awards, film fare critics’ awards, stardust awards, ZEE cine awards and IIFA awards. Though the movie received so much appreciation and awards, still Ali has now decided to do positive, lively and fun roles instead of a negative one.

After completing his studies and before acting in this film Ali worked as an interior designer in Mumbai under baldiwala associates. Baldiwala associates or BA is an interior designing firm whose designs have traveled across residential apartments, public places, showrooms, corporate office to hospitals and now Sonam Kapoor’s vanity van. During the shoot of neerja when Sonam came to know that Ali is an interior designer she requested him to design her vanity van. The father-son duo works together under BA and have been known for their designing skills and giving most importance to minute details. When asked about his favorite designers Ali said Yabu and pushelberg because of the things they take care of in their design.
