Adi Shankar, famously known as Aditya Shankar was born on January 8, 1985. He is an American director and producer. At Northwestern University, Adi completed his graduation in communications, business and theatre. He entered the movie world of Hollywood by producing a Main Street movie in 2011. Adi is famous for producing ‘R’ rated movies. He produced the film The Grey in 2011 that was nominated in Scare Tactics and Silly information categories of the International Wolf Center’s Scat Award. Among the movies he produced, Dredd became one of the cult films. This Sci-Fi movie was released in the year 2012. This movie won a lot of critical acclaims. Among the Hindi movies, he was the executive producer of famed Gangs of Wasseypur.
In 2013, Lone Survivor film won Best Action film in Las Vegas Film Critics Society Awards. He is also famous for his short films. He made his first short film The Punisher: Dirty Laundry in 2012. This short film is action-oriented. He made a short film called Venom: Truth in Journalism in 2013 that is influenced by well-known Belgian comedy movie Man Bites Dog. Adi Shankar made his first guest appearance in this short film. He made two animated short movies Judge Dredd: Superfiend in 2014 and James Bond: In Service of Nothing in 2015. In Sci-Fi genre, he made Power/Rangers short film. Besides being a producer, he showed his acting skills by playing roles in movies as John in The Voices, Photographer Shankar in Mostly Ghostly: Have You Met My Ghoulfriend?
