Born in 1994, Sushruthi spent her initial childhood days in the United States of America, before returning to the capital city of Karnataka. She is an alumni of Delhi Public School (South) and pursued architecture in R.V. College of Architecture, a Bengaluru-based educational institution. Many people do not know but Sushruthi participated in Femina Miss India 2015 and she made it into the final round. She won a remarkable award of Miss Active as well. After gaining significant experience, she decided to participate in the next year’s edition.

This time, she achieved illustrious success as she finished as the first runner-up in the 2016 edition. She also won two awards namely: “Beauty with a purpose” and “Miss Photogenic.” Sushruthi worked at Venkataramanan Associates as an “Architectural Trainee” for six months. Apart from her profession, Sushruthi is an excellent dancer. She was associated with Nritarutya, a dance troupe which performed at various venues and functions. She also loves playing basketball and swimming too. She donned the role of Sports Captain in her school which many people would not find surprising thanks to her excellence in sports.

Her notable project has been “Anatta.” Anatta deals with improvement of facilities in government schools. Moreover, this initiative aims at providing a quality learning environment in schools. Plus, the team attempts to make children aware of sanitation and health related issues which includes menstruation awareness and the importance of toilets in the schools and homes. A considerable number of girls could not continue their studies due to lack of sanitation facilities in schools. It can be said that it is Sushruthi’s pet project and she continues to work tirelessly towards the welfare of children. She has joined hands with various NGOs to enhance the essential infrastructure of these schools.

Anatta’s maiden project consisted of construction of toilets for the Hosahalli Kannada Government School. Anatta is her ‘Beauty with a Purpose’ project which did not go unnoticed. Miss World Organisation recognised her project and shared her initiative on various social media platforms. Worldwide recognition of her project made people aware of this wonderful project and Sushruthi continues to be appreciated for her relentless work. Apart from attaining fame, she believed “Miss India” would be the exemplary stage to raise awareness about the sanitation infrastructure in schools.
