Priyanka Chandel

Priyanka Chandel is a professional model as well as a television artist. She is a native of Dehradun in Uttrakhand. She is a rooted individual and carries the morals instilled in her throughout her journey. Those values help her remain strong and grounded as she maneuvers her way up the ladder of success.

While in College she took part in a contest and eventually went on to win the title of Miss Uttrakhand under Dish TV Media Choice. It was after this achievement that her friends began motivating her to step out of her comfort and take an attempt at getting into a reality show. Soon she registered for and then participated in Splitsvilla, a very well-known reality show which airs on MTV. Her experience in the show made her grow as a person and made her stronger.

She learned to handle criticism as well as appreciation but still stand her ground with dignity. She believes that destiny has a major role to play in her life. Modeling wasn't a plan that Priyanka ever made in her mind, she just went with the flow and ended up pursuing a career as a model. In the modeling arena, she has worked with many major brands which include Pepperfry, Jabong, Jiya Jewellers, Maruti, Blender’s Pride, etc.

After modeling the next step she took was to take a plunge and work in a television show. Fortunately for her, she did not ever have to stand in a queue and audition for any role. The makers of the immensely well-known and talked about show Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi happened to see Priyanka’s youtube channel and concluded that she was perfect for the role of Shanaila in the television serial and voila! Priyanka got it. The opportunity of working with a brand as big as Balaji Telefilms was like a dream made the reality for her, and she continued working hard.

Soon she got associated with known production houses and acted in shows including Emotional Atyachaar which aired on UTVBindass under Endemol, Pyar Tune Kya Kiya which was under the Lost Boys Production. She is also a part of the show Meri Hankikarkak Biwi and is playing the role of a young, chic girl who is somewhat dumb. Priyank believes that the more diverse her characters are, the more she will get to explore her acting abilities and push her boundaries. Priyanka’s biggest role model is her dad. Her family was skeptical about her decision in the initial phase but after she proved herself they all support her a lot.
