Abhijit Thite is an Indian journalist. He was born on 9th May in Pune, Maharashtra. He works as a journalist and a feature editor for Maharashtra Times. He was elected as the member of the executive committee for the Pune Union of Working Journalists (PUWJ) in the 2011-12 PUWJ elections. Abhijit is an active poet as well. In 2010, his poem Toh Ek Baap Asto, which means He is a Father in Marathi, became immensely popular and was in the news because of its heart-touching sentiments. He has released his collection of poems in a book, Muktak, which is a Sanskrit word that roughly translates to freedom. He used to run a blog hosted on the site Blogadda named Fakana. Fakana is a Konkani word that means talking, as in chattering.Â
