Prem Krishna was a remarkable revolutionary freedom fighter. He was born in Lahore on 2 January 1894 and died in Shahjahanpur U.P. at the age of 99 on 3 August 1993. Prem was a Member of Parliament from Shahjahanpur in 1962 and 1967. He was arrested in Kakori conspiracy for letting Bismil use his license of Mauser Pistol to buy 150 cartridges, which was illegal. Bismil always used his pistol in any revolt, in which Ram participated. Prem was released in 1932 after spending five years in jail.
Krishna’s father Raibahadur was a wealthy man and had links with Britishers and was able to provide a contract for Prem in the Indian Railways. Raibahadur was a civil surgeon. He had two younger brothers, Sri Kishan Khanna and Daya Kishan Khanna. He was the eldest of his siblings. His father bought him a Mauser pistol because Prem was pampered a lot.
He had been a part of a revolutionary party though he was dedicated towards Congress he still supported Ram Prasad Bismil. The association was later named as Hindustan Republic Association.
