He completed his schooling at the Government Higher Secondary School in Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh, and graduated from Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University. Additionally, Manish holds a diploma in filmmaking and sound design from Arena Multimedia in Delhi. In 2021, he worked as an actor for the Energetic Drink Ad.

Manish’s film Savera was nominated and won the best cinematography award in the national-level Wide Angle Wide Angle is a special cinema news show in Tamil >> Read More... competition in 2012. He worked on the documentary Art and Artist in 2013 as an assistant director and editor, and as a sound designer and assistant editor, he worked on the film Ashima in 2013. He was the final contestant in the Grand Final Singer of the Year for DIFF-2013, and one of the music videos, Kisi Rah Par, he made for the Delhi International Film Festival in 2014, was launched by Bollywood great actor, director, and producer Subhash Gai.

He directed a music video titled You’re Mine, Mere Sanware Sanam which was released in India, the United Kingdom, Taiwan, and many other places. He also worked on the Pakistani feature film Hotaal in 2014. In 2015, Manish worked on a short documentary film called Niharan. In 2016 he directed a short fiction film Walking Distance for the International Film Festival. He won the award for Best Debutant Director in the Indian Short Fiction category at the 5th Delhi International Film Festival 2016.

Manish then moved to Mumbai as an assistant director, writer and, editor. He served as an associate director for a feature film in Shahid Chandra Shekhar Azad in 2017-18.
