Dilip's hard work and dedication were soon recognized, and he was offered opportunities to work with prominent filmmakers and production houses. This exposure proved invaluable, providing him with hands-on experience and valuable insights that would shape his future endeavors. He has also worked as an actor in many film projects. In 2015, he appeared in the movie Har Har Byomkesh. Arindam Sil directed the movie, and SaradinduBandopadhyay, Padmanabha Dasgupta, and Arindam Sil wrote the screenplay.

And the movie starred Abir Chatterjee, Ritwick Chakraborty, Sohini Sarkar, and Nusrat Jahan. In 2019, he appeared in the film Gumnaami. Srijit Mukherji directed the movie, and Anuj Dhar, Rohini Ghosh, and Srijit Mukherji wrote the storyline. The film starred Prasenjit Chatterjee, Anirban Bhattacharya, and Tanushree Chakraborty.
