Deep Singh Kakkad started his career in filmmaking early and has five years of working experience with Anurag Kashyap Films & Sikhya Entertainment. Before he launched his own company known as Guru Media Films, he began working on well-known movies like Gangs of Wasseypur, Haraamkhor, Peddlers, and Vakratunda Mahakaaya.
He also line produced more than 22 short films and also worked on five feature films. In the past seven yearsof his career, he has worked with more than 20 directors and has produced work for numerous companies and advertising agencies, like Ogilvy & Mather, Mullen Lintas, McCann, JWT, BBH, Experience Commerce, MRM//McCann, Madorwat, BBH Schbang, and others.
Because of his connection with Anurag Kashyap Films, he created and oversaw the production of a collection of five short films titled Shorts, which released in the theatres and won several awards at prestigious international film festivals. He is a founder, creative, and executive producer in Guru Media Films, Supervising producer at Contagious Online Media Network Private Limited, and many others. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce from G.N. Khalsa College.Â
