Vinita Negi

Vinita Negi or Vinita Saroj Negi is an editor, independent filmmaker, account planner, and also associate coordinator strategist. She belongs to Pune, Maharashtra, India. She speaks English, Hindi, Marathi, and French fluently. She did her Bachelors in Arts, Economics from Miranda House, University of Delhi. After that, she worked for Google Office, Gurgaon as an Account planner as well as an Associate coordinator strategist. She also worked as an Online marketing manager at Infoedge India Ltd.Her interests were in the direction of editing and filmmaking. So, she did Post graduation diploma in Film Editing and Filmmaking from the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune.

In 2016, she received a scholarship from the International Federation of Film Archives (FIAF), Belgium for a course conducted and coordinated by the faculty of L’Immagine Ritrovata Italy, George Eastmen Museum NYC. She received so many honors. She presented at Docedge Kolkata, 2020 - DMZ Docs Award Winner. She worked on her project in the DMZ Docs Lab and pitched it at South Korea 2020. She received a nomination for the 2020 Dok Leipzig Co-Production Market in Germany. She got SDA Grand Award and Young Talent Award at Hi! Docs EIDF Pitch in South Korea in 2022. Vinita Negi was also the recipient of the first Bitchitra Collective Documentary Film and Media Fellowship (2023). She is well-known for CatDog (2020) and Prabha (2018).
