Soumitra Khanra is an Indian Bengali film and television serial editor. He specialized in film editing at the Film & Television Institute of India, Pune. He started his career through the film The Rebel. He received the National Award for best film in 1996 in the Short Film category. Soumitra started his career by editing the popular television serial Janani. He is well-known for his work as an editor in serials, mega serials, and telefilms. His notable works in Sahib Bibi Gulam, Seemarekha, Tare Ammi Chokhe Dekhini, Tasveer, Sadharan Meye, and many more. Soumitra has also worked as an editor in the Bengali films Pakhi, directed by
