Dr. Rashmi Shetty

Dr. Rashmi Shetty is a certified Indian dermatologist, an international speaker, a teacher, and an author. She has over 20 years of experience in aesthetic and clinical dermatology. She was born in Mangalore, Karnataka, India, to parents Mr. Sitaram Rai, who works as an advertising pioneer, and Mrs. Arundhati Rai, an artist and a homemaker. She is the eldest of three sisters.

She completed her graduation from AIMS Bellur of Mysore University with a medical degree. She is the founder and chief dermatologist at Ra Aesthetics and Dermatology, with branches in Mumbai and Hyderabad. She also cleared board graduation in Indian classical dance and art and painting with a first-class ranking. She started her journey at Mysore University.

Dr. Shetty's interest in plastic surgery and aesthetic beauty grew when she worked under Dr. K. S. Shekhar. She is also the founder of Solskin. She also collaborated with industrial leaders like Allergan, Merz and Galderma and is the first doctor from India to be on the International Advisory Board of the Anti-Ageing World Congress, FACE London, and ICAD Asia. She gave speeches at prestigious academic society meetings such as ASDS, Thai Derm Society, Australian Society of Cosmetic Dermatology, Egyptian Society of Plastic Surgery, CDSI, ISDS, and IADVL.

She is also a part of the advisory board of Unilever for Pond’s, Vaseline, and Lakme, Procter & Gamble for Gillette, Clinique for Estée Lauder, Marico for Parachute’s haircare range, and Bio-Oil. Dr.Shetty has published several journal articles and is also the author of Age Erase, a book published under Random Book House. Her achievements include Best South East Asian Paper by the American Plastic Surgery Association for a journal paper published in PRS journal, and Best Dermatologist from Vogue in 2020.
