Vishal Punjabi

Vishal Punjabi is an Indian film Director, Producer, and screenwriter. He was born in Accra, Ghana. He found his passion for filmmaking in 2010 and established his film production company, The Wedding Filmer, in Mumbai, Maharashtra. After moving to England, he completed his graduation in IT, Drama, Filmmaking, and Business. His career in Bollywood began when he started working as a part of the visual effects team for Red Chillies Entertainment. The first feature film he worked on was released in 2001, titled Asoka. His other works include box-office hits like Mai Hoon Na (2004), Paheli (2005), Don (2006), and Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd. (2007). He also has years of experience working as a director and producer in advertising.

He is the director of India’s first international film festival-nominated wedding documentary called Heartbeats. It shortlisted for several Indie Film Festivals notably the D.I.Y Film Festival. Along with his work as a wedding filmmaker, Punjabi is also credited for the creation of some of the most loved Indian contemporary love songs. From filming commercials to filming the most famous Bollywood celebrity weddings, he has made a name for himself and has taken the art of wedding filmmaking to the next level.
