Trisha Das is an Indian Filmmaker and author. In 2005, she received the National Award from former Indian president Dr. Abdul Kalam for her documentary “Fiddlers on the Thatch,” which was about the children of Gandhi Ashram School, Kalimpong. During her childhood, Trisha Das spent her summer vacation with her maternal grandparents in Patna, Bihar. Every night her grandfather told her stories about the Ramayana and the Mahabharata, and before she knew it, the extended family was gifting her books on these epics. Her first debut novel is “Ms. Draupadi the Pandavas.”
Her second novel, a sequel, The Misters Kuru: A Return to Mahabharata (published by HarperCollins), brings the story to a logical conclusion, answering many questions and tying up many loose ends, giving voice to those who never had one. In this book, several Pandavas plans to stay on Earth, and Kunti apologizes to Draupadi for putting her in a position where she had five husbands. Honestly, her books Ms. Draupadi Kuru: After the Pandavas, Kama’s Last Sutra, Misters Kuru: A Return to Mahabharata, are reimagined, fictional works based on our mythology.
