Biyot Projna Tripathy is an Indian director, producer, and writer. She writes short stories, poems, and articles for Odia magazines and columns for the Odia newspaper. She is a recognized Odia author who writes novels, poems and short stories, and has six books in her kitty. She has produced and directed more than 40 documentaries and promotional films. Her films are regularly screened internationally in Amsterdam, London, the U.S.A, Nepal, and other countries. She also teaches media applications and film studies in different institutions of India.
In 2003, Biyot Projna Tripathy got a National Award for the promotional short film ‘Ladakh - The Land of Mystery’. In 2004, the film was also awarded as the second-best film at Mumbai International Film Festival.’Yogini’ (2021) is her debut feature film.
Apart from this, Tripathy also participated in the International Visitors Leadership Program on "Films in the U.S." in 2012, organized by the United States Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.
