Suman Haripriya is an Indian film director, producer, and politician. She was born on 1 June 1979 in Guwahati, Assam. Her father is Jiten Chakravarty and her mother Bijoya Chakravarty was an ex-member of Parliament from Guwahati. She pursued a Master of Arts in Sociology from Jamia Millia Islamia. Suman also studied Diploma in Film and Television from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, New Delhi. She has mostly worked in Assamese cinema. Her film Kadamtole Krishna Nache won The Best Film Award at the
