Sayak Shome is an artist, writer, and director from Durgapur, West Bengal, India. Sayak was born on July 28, 1990. He did a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering in 2013 from Techno India College of Technology, Kolkata, India, during which he dived headlong into his artistic pursuits, which later became his primary vocation. From 2013 to 2015, he lived on the road and worked in capacities, including film and video professional.
Sayak Shome received his master’s degree in Fine Arts from the University of Cincinnati, U.S. (2017), following which he taught introductory art and film-making courses at the university. So far, as a writer, Sayak has written short films, The Big Shrub Tail of A. Symmetry, in bird language, Paperbag, and Parallels, Almost. He also worked as a cinematographer on An Extra Noise by the Big Boss.
