Puneet Sira is a director in the Indian film industry. He played a valuable role in propagating India Bollywood films in Australia. Puneet was born on 3rd, December 1967 and he always dreamt of making films since his childhood. He spent the beginning years of his working career as an actor. He started from the age of nine years and did his first film named ‘Annie Besant.’ It got a lot famous in public, and the budding actor received positive responses for his acting. He acted in the movie ‘The velvet glove’ by British Broadcasting Company and ‘The Arabian adventure’ in the year 1979. He played the lead role of Maajed, and Kevin Cooper directed the film. He became the participant of the COMEX10 and went to India with forty other performers on tour.

The Australian Troup performed at various places in India and Puneet got to know more about the Indian culture. He became part of television shows in Australia and did the series ‘How we used to live’ and ‘Why couples break up.’ Some of his other notable shows are ‘London’s burning,’ ‘The honeymoon,’ ‘The park,’ and ‘The rocking Sikh.’ With the talent of his acting, Puneet debuted in the films as a director. He made many short films, one of them was ‘Strings’ in the year 1996 which was critically acclaimed. He opened up the Talent Introduction Centre (TIC) in Australia for the Indian talents to get access to various opportunities in the film sector. He also became the director of London Academy of acting where he gave lectures on the different nuances of acting. He played the role of casting director also in the film industry.

He cast for the films like Jinnah, Flight, Immaculate Conception, Memsahib Rite, Black Skin and White Mass. Puneet is known for his depth of knowledge in the field of filmmaking as he got a hand on experience on every aspect of the production of a movie. He had the production knowledge with the film Passion in the desert in the year 1997. He acted as the person in charge for the film. He became the executive producer for channel V and worked on almost 22 TV shows such as the series ‘The steal,’ and ‘Wire.’ He did the show Jataka tales in 2002 for the Japanese TV. The director directed the film I- proud to be an Indian in the year 2004, Jai-Veer in 2009, and Kisaan in 2009. He got associated with the Eye line Entertainment and worked with them for a long time.
