He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biotechnology from Mumbai University. He was a bright student and was awarded a scholarship to pursue his MBA Degree abroad. He went to the UK and completed his MBA in Marketing from the London Graduate School of Management. He is also a 2nd Dan Taekwondo Black Belt holder. He has over five years of corporate experience in London, Dubai, and Mumbai, having worked as Business Manager for Rosalina Instruments, Mumbai, and as an Investment Banker in Dubai.

However, despite a successful start to his career in the corporate world, his passion for cinema brought him back to Mumbai. Prasad describes himself as a self-taught filmmaker with no formal training. For him, filmmaking is a non-ending struggle. In 2016, he started his own production house named Shutterstream Media Private Limited. His corporate knowledge came in handy, and he managed to get a few ad films to direct and produce under the banner of his production house. His creativity and talent were soon recognized, and he received offers for music videos and short films.
