Nandita Yadav or Nanditha Yadav is an Indian film Actress, writer, director, and producer. Nanditha is well-known in the area of theatre and drama. Her journey in the theatre began in the early years of her life at the age of 15 and a half with Babukodi Venkataramana Karanth, commonly known as B. V. Karanth, one of the pioneers of parallel cinema. He received many awards for his extraordinary work in the field of theatre such as the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award, Padma Shri, and six national film awards. Some of his works were Choana Dudi, Varsha Vriksha, and Godhuli. She worked with the top artists and played leading roles in the theaters for 15 years.
Nanditha finished her schooling at Sri Kumran’s Children's Home school in TATA Silk farm in Bengaluru and grew up there only. She did her Pre-University classes at the National PU college, Jayanagar, Bengaluru. After college, she did a master's in English literature. She immediately started teaching and became a lecturer at the age of 22 in SSMRV PU college and National College in Bengaluru for 3-4 years after which she gave her full concentration to acting and theatre only, leaving the job as lecturer behind... Nanditha is a very passionate and hard-working woman, she says her mistakes in the past are what made her who she is today. She directed movies such as Raju (2017), Indian Metro 2010 (2010), pal pal dil ke Paas (2005), and Rajasthan Diaries. She did TV as an actress as well. Physics Teacher is a psychological thriller suspense movie, directed by Sumukha under the mentorship of Nanditha.

She gave all the credit of her achievements to her school and her teachers who guided and mentored her. Nanditha has worked for almost 29 years and with her experience she says theatre taught her how to be confident as well as grounded altogether. Nanditha is a trained Bharatnatyam dancer as well. Her father was a fan of literature and art, he was a writer and wrote for films such as Bara, Chitegu Chinte, and Kanneshwara Rama. He wrote for Mysore Shrinivas Sathyu, commonly known as M. S. Sathyu, a renowned film director and stage designer of the era.
