K. Murali Mohana Rao, born in Andhra Pradesh, India, is a screenwriter, director, and producer working for the Telugu and Hindi film industry. He started his career as a film director in 1983 by making his first film Sangharshana, which is an action film in the Telugu language. This film was a huge success. Rao scripted and directed another hit Telugu film named Kathanayakudu in 1984. This film was remade in the Hindi language as Dilwaala in 1986. K. Murali Mohana Rao also directed another hit Telugu film named Kodama Simham in 1990.
This film was dubbed in English as Hunters of the Indian Treasure and in Hindi as Main Hoon Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi. In 1991, Rao directed the musical hit film Prem Qaidi. This film is the remake of the Telugu film Prema Khaidi. The famous Actress Karishma Kapoor made her debut in this film. Rao also directed the Bollywood film Anari in 1993, which Is a remake of the Tamil film Chinna Thambi. He also directed other remakes in Bollywood like Taqdeerwala and Kya Yehi Pyaar Hai.
