Jitendra Singh Naruka popularly known as Jitu is an Indian film director, writer, and actor born on 28 July 1972 in Kota, Rajasthan. His father Sohan Singh Naruka was a high school teacher. He graduated in Arts from the University of Rajasthan and always dreamed of becoming a filmmaker. He participated in theatre like Ramleela and Rajasthan Raghvendra Kala Sanstha during his college days. After graduation, he joined HCRFT in 1999 in Himachal Pradesh. A year later he moved to Mumbai to pursue his career in Bollywood. His first role was in Boney Kapoor’s film Shakti: The Power. He then worked on many films like Run in 2004, Wounded, Ghajini, Bhihad, I am in Love, etc.
He has done TV serials such as Malini Aiyer in Sahara One, Naa Ana Is Desh Laado in Colors, Meri Maan in Life OK, and others. He was a writer and director for the films Arjun Autowalo in 2012, Dharm Bahan in 2013, and Dhara 302 in 2015. He has won several awards in his career including the Best Performer Award in 2003 on the show Adakar on E TV and was nominated for the Best Director for Dharam Bahan at the Rajasthan International Film Festival in 2015.
