Subsequently, he got his MBA in Communication and Media Studies from AICAR B-School in 2005. Jamshid Roointon started as a media planner at Rediffusion Y & R in April 2005 and worked there for a year. Subsequently, he worked as an assistant production manager in Moser Baer India Ltd and Boundscript Motion Pictures Private Limited on a contract basis. He became a freelance assistant director and worked in AADYOT Films for over a year.

He also worked as a head of post-production on a contractual basis in some media companies like Outreach Media Services Pvt, Ltd and Feature Films. He has worked in Balaji Telefilms Ltd as an executive producer and also was an accomplished screenwriter. Jamshid Roointon also co-founded a production house, Broon Maska Productions in Mumbai. 

His 2016 short film, Akuri… A Pinch of Hope received critical acclaim and won many awards at various international film festivals. It won the Bronze Film of the Year and also got an Honorable Jury Mention at Mumbai Shorts International Film Festival. Jamshid Roointon is also a talented video director and has worked for reputed brands like Bajaj Finance, Dove, TVS, Bisleri, CROMA, Renault, and many more. On the personal front, he lives in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
