Pankaj Advani Pankaj Advani is a world-famous Snooker and Billia >> Read More... was an Indian filmmaker, editor, screenwriter, photographer, theatre director, and painter who is most known for his work in Bollywood and cross-over movies. He was born in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, on August 1st, 1965. The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda is where he earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting. He developed a portfolio of images while specializing in photography at the Faculty of Fine Arts. Pankaj made his screenplay debut for a Hindi movie with Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa (1993), which went on to win the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Feature.
He wrote the script and directed the short movie Sunday in 1994, which went on to win the National Film Award for Best Short Fiction Film and the Children's Film Society of India Award for Best Writing. The movie has appeared in other festivals, such as the Cairo International Children's Film Festival and the 11th Annual Chicago International Children's Film Festival. It was shown in the Asian Panorama segment of the 8th International Children's Film Festival, Udaipur, and the Indian Panorama Section of the 25th International Film Festival of India, Calcutta. The same year, Pankaj received a prize from NFDC for Shadow Boxer's finest writing. He passed away on November 11, 2010.
