In this T.V. serial, Afzal became so popular that, the dialogue,”Rambo, Rambo, Jan Rambo, the cockroach killer” is still a hit and familiar within the kids to adults in Pakistan. He has also acted in another home production of PTV known as “Ye Chahten Ye Ranjishen” in 2014-15.

Afzal was born on 1st September 1966 at Havelian Hazara, Abbottabad in Pakistan. He has married to Sahiba who is also a former actress and the daughter of Nisho, who was a veteran movie star. Both Afzal and Sahiba acted in some films as co-stars. After marriage Sahiba left her acting career. They have two sons. Afzal has acted in some PTV produced plays which were telecasted only in Islamabad and Peshawar. After the popularity of “Guest House,” he got numerous offers from the directors to act in their cinemas. In 1992, he signed his debut film “Hero, which did not get notable popularity and success. Next year in 1993, one of his film, “Hathi Meray Saathi” directed by the veteran film actress cum director Shamim Ara Bio coming soon... >> Read More... , got released and gained eyecatching prominence. After the success of this movie, Afzal signed some eye candy movies such as Hawaein, Raja Pakistani, Hum To Chaley Sasural, Miss Istanbul and Chor Machaye Shor. Afzal has tried to act in some serious roles.

But because of his image as a comedian, he did not hit the silver screen and also not get much success. So he decided to remain as the lovable humeros actor of the Pak audience. Some of his blockbuster movies are International Luteray, Koi Tujh Sa Kahan, Love Me Ghum, Munda Bigra Jaye, Insaaf Hop To Aisa, Jungle Queen, Saya e Khuda e Zuejalal, Gunda Raj, and Madam Rani. As a film star, he is working hard to revive the Pakistan Film Industry because of the less interest of PTV to promote the Urdu songs and the Pakistani movies.

He is on a mission to mend this problem that the Pakistani actors will not forward to Indian Film Industry to get promoted as an actor/actress. In an interview, Afzal told about the most memorable moment for him was, when a group of Sikhs from India were gathered at PTV station and did not leave till to meet him. They all were a great admirer of his series “Guest House,” and they requested him to dub the serial in Hindi or English language for better understanding of the dialogues. It was a great appreciation to this Pakistani Actor. Both Afzal and Sahiba are very active in PTV shows. They are hosting a morning show in “Apna Channel,” from 2011 popular as “Apna Morning With Rambo and Sahiba.” Nowadays Afzal appears in a dance show and a T.V. Talent Show of PTV as a judge.
