Piyali Saha is an Indian Classical Dancer. She was born on 5th, August 1990 in West Bengal and shifted to Mumbai in the pursuit of her passion. Like every girl, she also dreamt of an independent and a career-oriented life. To make this dream come true, she visited Mumbai and auditioned for Dance India Dance Season 3. Piyali’s luck landed her as a contestant in the show, and her life changed afterward.
She spent her childhood performing in Durga Puja and other religious ceremonies. She learned Classical Dance and some other Indian Dance forms. Piyali completed her studies with a Master Degree in Bengali from the Siliguri University, West Bengal.
She always took studies seriously and made a balance between dance and studies. She debuted with her dance career through Dance India Dance aired on Zee TV. It was one of the biggest Dance Reality show in the country. Sneha was her partner on the show. This show was a life-changing event for her, and after that, she never looked back. She was in the top ten contestants of the show. Piyali continued her career as a choreographer. She worked in many Dance schools as a Dance teacher. She performed in various events in and around Mumbai. She also worked for the Brandit Academy, choreographing different songs and adding her twist to the dance style.
Kathak, Bharatnatyam, Dasavtram are some of the dance styles learned by her. She also loved to add some fusion to each one of her performances. Apart from the professional life, Piyali brought Dance into her personal life too. She performed at various religious ceremonies in her hometown. At her native place, she won the ‘DhanuchiNaah’ competition in the year 2015, organized by the Bengali Club.
She won it for three consecutive years. In 2015, she experimented and opened her Dance academy known as Piyalizzz Dance Academy in Dinabandhu Mancha, West Bengal. It came as a new struggle for her. She learned the different nuances of teaching and learning together with her students. As she was always close to her native place, she bent her life towards Bengal and made it her residence. Being a Bengali at heart, she never let go of the traditional touch in her performances.
