Kannagi Gosavi

Kannagi Gosavi is a classical dancer. She studied at Dr BAMU University in Aurangabad. She was a National member artist at Sanskriti Bharat in Delhi. She worked as a freelance artist at Aurangabad, Maharashtra. She was a scholar student at the Ministry of Culture. She is the founder and director of Kannagi’s Nrityabodhi Dance Institute, where she provides lessons on classical dance. She was the disciple of Guru Parwati Dutta at Mahagami Gurukal, where she received her training and laid the foundation of her classical dance. She learned Kathak dance under Padma Vibhushan Pandit Birju Maharaj Ji, where she got an opportunity to participate and tour, nationally and internationally. She is trained in Odissi, too.

She has technical skills, grace, expression, bringing stories, emotion to life through precise movements and gestures. With rigorous training and dedication, she mastered intricate choreography, conveying cultural heritage and artistic nuance. She has captivated audiences with her performances. She has performed at several national and international festivals, including Delhi, Bangalore, China, Chennai, Germany, and Saudi Arabia. She graced at multiple events, including India International Dance Festivals, Serendipity Festivals, and Elephanta Festivals. She performed at Germany-India conference, where she showcased her skill in front of Dr Manmohan Singh, Former Prime Minister of India. Also, she has received several awards, including the Nrityabhushan Samman Award, Pt. Arjun Mishra Samman Award, and Acharaya Aryanandi Puruskar.
