Nilendu Sen

Nilendu Sen studied at Delhi Public School, Mathura Road, and completed his schooling in 1983 and pursued a Bachelor of Commerce(H) at Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi, in 1983. Nilendu was a part of the iconic Theatre Society of the Kirori Mal College, The Players. Apart from his education, Sen was fond of extra-curricular activities. He led the position of Cultural Secretary to the student’s union at his college. Sen also took a short course to work on his content writing skills. Nilendu spent his childhood in Bhawali, Uttarakhand. He spent his summers in a small bungalow there with his grandmother. He was born and brought up in a culturally literate household. His family members paid importance to the true meaning behind poetries and songs.

He used to spend his summer evenings among culturally acclaimed people like the great Hindi author and poet Mahadevi Verma. Nilendu and his mother would enjoy Rabindra Sangeet. Nilendu attributes his cultural knowledge to his family members. Nilendu Sen is a successful Producer, Director, Writer, and novelist. He has more than three decades of experience in television production and content management. He entered the television world with programs like ‘Alpha Plus’ and ‘Quiz Time.’ He started working in 1993 as an Associate Producer.

Nilendu produced some award-winning TV series, corporate films, travel shows, documentaries, animation movies, etc. His breakfast show ‘ Subah Savere Subah Savere is a television program that runs on >> Read More... ’ depicts his talents beautifully. He worked with superstar Aishwarya Rai, who was just a newbie then, and Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt. Nilendu is a gifted novelist. He moved on to write his first-ever novel ‘Sonar Gaaon.’ It was supposed to be a screenplay based on the social efforts by Commercial Sex Workers of Kolkata, which he transformed into a novel.
