Bharati Chakraborty is a Bengali costume designer known for her work in the movie "Poochho Mere Dil Se." The film hit the theatres in 2004. The story focuses on a man who abandons his family to become a gangster. As the costume director, she used a rather vibrant color palette to bring out the sharp twists of the plot. She currently works as a fashion designer and reseller of some popular ethnic Indian brands. She specializes in garments that Bengali women typically wear, silk sarees, and festive wear. However, her work also extends to more modern wear, such as fusion Kurtis, embroidered sarees, etc.
