Ssumier S Pasricha is a Television star who was born on May 12, 1980. He is also a professional photographer. He rose to stardom in small screen for serials like ‘Sasural Simar Ka ‘that is still being viewed by the audience on Colors TV channel. The serial is still continuing with 1,470 episodes. This good looking actor who was playing the character of Shailendra has recently opted out of the serial, but the popularity that he has achieved for the three-and-a-half years is really a good recognition. He is a trained in Hindustani classical music and semi/light classical music. He undertook the training in classical music from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, one of the oldest school in Delhi known for music and dance. He learnt dance and music from Pt. Vipinchandra Maudgalya, an exponent from Gwalior Gharana. He has been learning music for past thirteen years. The actor also has done post graduation from Australia University. Besides, learning classical songs, he also got trained to learn Kuchipudi dance from Guru Raja and Radha Reddy for five years.

The actor also has performed in plays in English and Urdu and was associated under the famous director like Shekar Kapur. For the first time, the talented and versatile actor will be essaying a role of a real person, the legendary Manabi Bandhopadhya( Code Red), India’s first ever transgender to become a principal of a college in Kolkata. It was a great experience for him to play the character on the screen. For another serial ‘Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya’, he acted as Muslim character, where he spoke Urdu language and had to wear all traditional Pathan’s costumes.
