Tony Kordelia

Tony Kordolia is an Industrial Designer, furniture Design, development strategist and consultant. He is a designer, builder and workforce trainer of Furniture manufacturing factories. He is highly skilled in Product Development, Product Design, Oil painting, wood working, carpentry and various types of art and crafts. Tony became a Designer after getting his degree from Limkokwig University of Creative Technology which he completed in 2012. Tony started as a stunt performer for various Bollywood movies in Mumbai. He then opened a motorcycle shop under the name ‘Tony Custom Works’ and worked there for eight years before joining Studio Haus as the Head of Factory. At last, he joined Josmo India as Head of Production and Prototyping. Tony had a passion from a very young age to know the science behind building and knowing and how things.

His formative years as a builder was mostly around building custom motorcycles out of his parents’ garage. He wanted to better his skills at building and understanding what took to mass produce things. He moved to Malaysia in 2008 to study industrial Design to better equip himself for a life time of making things. He moved back to India in 2014 with a Distinction Degree in Industrial Design and a new passion for wood working and prototyping. His friend was running an architectural design studio in Pune called STUDIO HAUS and had difficulty building a bed with his carpenters for a show flat he was doing. The bed turned into a conversation of a small 700 sq. meter workshop. He spent the next year setting up the workshop and quickly educating himself further in carpentry and other fabrication and finishing work required for the job.

By the second year, he had completed the furniture of two bespoke villas, few show flats and, also launched the brand K.O.Y. In 2017, he moved away from STUDIO HAUS and took on the role of Head of Manufacturing and Prototyping for JOSMO STUDIO in Goa. In about a year, he launched new furniture and lifestyle brand by the name ANDSO and he set up a 3200sqmeter state of the art Factory, His hunger for learning new methods and skills and, passing on the knowledge to workers and better skilling them for higher and for efficient work is what keeps him going. He loves taking thoughts and sketches and turning them into tangible products.
