Oindrila Bala is known for the Indian competitive reality TV series Master Chef season 6, which was aired on 7 December 2019 on Star Plus and concluded on 1 March 2020. She has been attending auditions from the last two years and made her way to the show in the third attempt. She was the first Runner-up of the season 6 of Masterchef India. She was called ‘Desert Queen’ on the show for her baking skills. She always liked cooking since she was four years old, by the age of eight, she started baking cakes and making egg rolls with the help of cooking books. Her mother was her inspiration; she has learned a lot from her.
She was born in 1987 in Kolkata, West Bengal. Besides following her passion, she also worked as a tax consultant in a multi-national auditing firm for nine years. She did her graduation in Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Meerut University. She decided to do chartered accountancy for her father; in return, he opened pizzeria for her. She did Diploma courses in accountancy from the American Institute of certified public accounts, Association of chartered certified accountants, UK, and League Academy, Gaborone, Botswana.
She opened her bakery ‘The Sweet Pot’ in January 2019 in Bidhannagar, West Bengal, India.
