Jaspal Rawat was a contestant on a cooking reality show MasterChef India season 6, where he competed with several aspiring competitors from all over India. The show was premiered on Star Plus on 7 December 2019 and concluded on 1 March 2020, where he faced tough challenges and secured his place in the top 15, won two team challenges during the show and, eliminated on 5th January.
He is a military-chef of India by profession for which he has traveled across many places in India. He was born in Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir. He is happily married and has a son.
 He has also internationally represented India in an Indian food festival inaugurated at restaurant O2 Lounge, Ritz-Carlton, on 16th October 2018, where he performed the live cooking show and introduced Moscow to Indian spices.
