Manmohan Singh is a Punjabi film director and a renowned Bollywood cinematographer. He was born in 1932 in the district of Sirsa, Haryana. Manmohan was the cinematographer of the Hindi romance film, Betaab; Sunny Deol’s debut film in 1983. He is closely associated with Yash Chopra Film maker Yash Chopra is recognized as the ‘king >> Read More... and collaborated with him in many films, including Mohabbatein (2000), Dil To Pagal Hai (1997), Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995), Darr (1993), Lamhe (1991), Chandni (1989), etc. He bagged two Filmfare Awards for Best Cinematographer for his outstanding work in Darr and Chandni. In the year 2000s, he started directing Punjabi films.

Manmohan is also a playback singer during the 80s and sang for many Bollywood films, including Waaris (1998) and Lava (1985). In 2014, he has produced Avtar Bhogal’s Bollywood multilingual social drama film, Honour Killing. He earned the 1997 Zee Cine Award for Best Cinematography for his work in Yash Chopra’s musical romantic drama film, Dil To Pagal Hai and the Sansui Viewers Choice for Best Cinematography for Mohabbatein.
