Gautam is a well-known wildlife filmmaker, director, and cinematographer from India. He learned filming techniques in Canada and had received national and international recognition for his work. He offers movie courses to his students. Gautam recently taught the basics of filmmaking and cinematography to the "Indian Border Security Force." Gautam Pandey's passion for naturalistic things goes beyond rewards. While growing up in a family of naturalists, he developed a passion for movie making from a young age. He is now concentrating on using films to raise wildlife awareness and record unusual animal behavior in the wild.

Gautam has been experimenting with advanced technology to push the frontiers. He devises new techniques to get to inaccessible places to record the behavior of rare animals. He spent two years filming in "The Great Himalayan Park" to capture the uncommon and mysterious western "Tragopan," which was never seen on film before. In 2012, he finished a forest-related film for the "Public Service Broadcasting Trust." He also shot in unknown locations in 2013.

Gautam has spent the last five years traveling, trekking, diving, and filming in remote areas to raise awareness about crucial topics such as climate change, high altitude wetlands, and India's mangroves. He recently completed two Animal Planet movies, "Gyamo - Queen of Mountains" and "Looking for Sultan," as co-director and presenter. The viewers recognized his outstanding performance. He won an award for "Best Documentary" in the Revelations Category at the "Vatavaran 2003 Film Festival" for the film "Timeless Traveller - the Horseshoe Club." Gautam also received two National Awards in 2004 for his phenomenal filmography. He recorded rare snow leopards in 360 VR, a first in wildlife filmmaking.
