came from a middle- class background. He is the son of Mr. Binayak Rath and Rajlaxmi Rath. He hails from Bhuvaneshwar. He completed his diploma at the “BIJU PATTANAIK FILM INSTITUTE “of Odisha in 1997 in Cinematography. He is employed as a director, writer, and director of photography in the Bollywood industry and also manages ad films. Upon moving to Mumbai, he faced a lot of hardships but with dedication he established his own production house called “Rajlaxmi productions.”
He has garnered several awards for his cinematography work, notably for “Blue mountains” and “New Horizon.” His major concern was to make films on topics involving child malnutrition, leprosy, cancer, mentally challenged children, child labour, etc. He has received 30 International awards for his films addressing these social issues, including “No Tobacco” (based on cancer),” Rhythm of Life” (based on malnutrition), etc.
