She is called by the name of Chamcham Rani in the area. In her childhood, she was friends with a successful businessman now, Yug Pratap Rajput, but they got separated in an accident. They meet again after 15 years, and Yug is shocked to know that Kahani is an item girl, now. Kahani adopted two kids and work hard to pay for their living. Yug dislikes Kahani because of her profession. He thinks item girls are not respectful, and their only work is to lure wealthy people and break their families. Other family members do not believe Kahani to be so, but Yug insults Kahani and throws her out of the house when he learns that he is nursing Ravikant. Ravikant is Yug’s father’s friend and Kahani’s biological father.

Later, it was discovered that Iravati, Ravikant’s second wife caused the accident 15 years ago that left Ravikant paralyzed and Meera dead. And that’s how Kahani got separated from her family. Yug’s harsh feelings towards Kahani change when she saves his sister-in-law and step-sister from the bullet that was shot to kill her. While, Yug’s brother Raunak tries to seduce Kahani and put an act of a loving husband in front of his wife, Rupa. He somehow convinces Kahani to marry him, but she doesn't know that Raunak is Yug’s brother, and he is already married to Rupa and even has a son named Harsh.

But later, Kahani finds out the truth. But Raunak kidnaps her brother Lucky and forces her to marry him. Yug comes to help Kahani and stops the wedding. After a series of events, the situation becomes such that Yug has to marry Kahani. It makes Kahani the epicenter of rejection and hatred by the family. But Kahani stands for her self-respect and dignity and decides to leave the house for good. But the situation change when she realizes that Yug is her long-lost childhood friend.
