Abhishek Maheshwari has been an Indian Chief Executive Officer at Aakash Educational Services Limited (AESL), a conglomerate of Aakash Institute, Aakash IIT-JEE, and Aakash Foundations in New Delhi, since Nov 2020. He will be responsible for strategy formulation & management of core offerings of AESL. This includes digital along with hybrid, classroom, and distance learning. He was responsible for technology implementation and change management engagement across industries for clients in Central Europe. Then, he engaged as a Summer Associate at Booz Allen Hamilton in New York, United States. After that, he was an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company in Stamford, CT & Mumbai for five years. He led strategy & operations engagement across hi-tech, telecommunications, and industrial sectors for clients in India, the US, and Europe. He was a partner & principal at Kubera Partners for five years, where he led Indian Investment and portfolio activities for Kubera Partners. Later on, he gave his another seven years for The Walt Disney Company, where he first worked as a Vice President & Head of Corporate Strategy & Business Development.

Then, he led the Consumer Products and Retail business for Disney in India & SAARC countries, in addition to Corporate Strategy & Business Development for the group. After that, he engaged as a Vice President and Head, Media Networks and Interactive, leading Disney’s media, digital, and interactive business for India & SAARC region. Then, he was a Country Head at The Walt Disney Company, where he was responsible for all of Disney’s brands & businesses (Media Networks, Consumer Products, Theatricals, Gaming, and Live Entertainment).
