Anuj Dhar is an Indian author and a former journalist. He was born and bought up in Delhi. He completed his graduation from the University of Delhi. He has published several books that propound theories about his living for several years after the plane crash. He is also a founder and trustee of an NPO organization, Mission Netaji. The organization campaigns for the declassification of documents about Bose. Anuj has claimed that Bose lived in UP as Gumnami Baba or Bhagwanji, a hermit till 1985. He gained popularity after his publication on Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. He has worked as a journalist in one of the leading newspapers the Hindustan Times.
