Sayeed Ansari

Sayeed Ansari is a journalist and news anchor. He is famous for being the editor and anchor of ‘Aaj Tak.’ He did his schooling at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Delhi, and his BA and diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication from Indira Gandhi National Open University; MA in Mass Communication from Guru Jambeswar University of Science and Technology. He started his career in Doordarshan, worked as a news anchor, RJ, and translator. Later, he joined Sahara Samay as a news anchor and then producer.

Four years later, he moved to ABP news and then to Star news. After joining Star news, he was the anchor of the prime time show ‘Star Report’ and co-anchored the show ‘Insaaf Ka Taraazu,’ which focused on court cases. He gained popularity through these, interacting with many politicians in the show ‘Kahiye Netaji.’ In 2007, he became the Associate Executive producer and Anchor in News 24 till 2012. After that, he hosted many popular shows on ABP like Primetime News, Sports News, and Analysis bulletins. He grabbed the opportunity of Aaj Tak and became the Deputy Editor and Anchor. He has also provided guest lectures and tips about media to youth. He has received the Best Anchor award at the Exchange4media News Broadcasting Award in 2017.
