Ravindra Sathe is a well-known Indian playback Singer and an actor who has contributed many soulful songs to the Marathi Film Industry. He was born on 7th February 1951 into a Marathi family. He started his career as a sound recordist in the Doordarshan but later became a light music artist. Sathe started his career as a singer in 1972. Some of his songs in Marathi films are Samna (1975), Jait Re Jait (1977), Aai (1995), and many more. Sathe has also sung few songs for Bollywood. His songs included Amitabh Bachchan’s special appearance, Eklavya: The Royal Guard- “The Revelation” and “The Gayatri Mantra Theme.” Popular Marathi songs like Ya Dehi Tuza song, Amhi Thakar Thakar, Ran He Uthale Uthale are sung by Sathe. In 2015 he received the Shahir Sable award.
