Premendra

Premendra is a renowned actor in the Indian film industry, specifically in Bollywood. He was born in 1942 in Fatehpur Sikri, Uttar Pradesh, India. He was born with a passion for acting, but his parents wanted him to become a doctor. While he was in the midst of his medical studies, he received an invitation from the Film and Television Institute of India (FTI) in Pune. His love for acting overpowered his desire to become a doctor, and he immediately packed his bags and joined FTI. While Premendra was training to become an actor, he had a fateful encounter with Harsukh Jagneshwar Bhatt in the office of FTI. Bhatt offered him the lead role in his film, Holi Ayee re, and Premendra's journey to the Bollywood dream world began.

He then signed his second film, Deedar, with Anjana Mumtaz and Dheeraj Kumar. He starred in Duniya Kya Jane alongside co-actress Bharti, and the film was directed by C.V. Sridhar. Premendra Parashar's rise to fame continued as he played the lead role alongside Rekha in the 1971 film, Saaz aur Sanam. With his undeniable talent and hard work, Premendra quickly became a household name in Bollywood and gained a huge fan following. Premendra was born Trilokinath Parashar. Premendra Parashar’s father, Murarilal Parashar, was a landlord of 86 villages, and he was the chairman of the Fatehpur Municipality for 25 years. After completing his film studies in 1966, he moved to Mumbai. His debut film was released in 1970. He signed a film, Jogi. But, due to some issues, the production works were slow, and the film was released after 12 years in 1982. By the time it was released, Premendra had quit the film industry.

Premendra signed 10+ movies and some of which are Aap Se Pyar Hua, in which Premendra was paired opposite to Deepa and in Aur Patthar Ro Diya, he paired Snehalata. When some issues arose in the production of all those movies, Premendra was unable to compromise with those, as he grew up in a royal environment. As he was not ready to do any other roles, he quit the film industry. In 1968, Premendra married Mandagini Pandya, who belongs to a Gujarati family that settled in London. When she came to India and watched his shooting, they fell in love and got married.

After quitting films, Premendra was involved in various businesses, including interior design. Many of the leading hotels in Mumbai were his clients. He was leading his business for more than 20 years. After the 1993 bomb blast in Mumbai, Premendra’s business started seeing a downfall. So, he left the business to his sons and moved back to his birthplace, Fatehpur Sikri, to stay with his father and take care of him. In 2019, he was diagnosed with cancer and was brought to Mumbai. He received his treatment for 11 months at Tata Hospital. As his condition turned worse, and the doctors said he was counting his final days, he was taken back to Fatehpur Sikri, where he breathed his last on 7^th October 2020.
