Firdaus Kanga is an Indian Author, Jounalist and actor. He was born in 1960 in Mumbai in a Parsi family. He was born with a rare disease, Osteogenesis Imperfecta. He has authored two books, named Trying to grow and Heaven on wheels. The latter tells about his experiences in the United Kingdom during his first meeting with the renowned scientist Stephen Hawking. He was the main character and scriptwriter in the movie The Sixth Happiness, which is a fictionalized account of his teenage years. It gives us a message of victory over suffering and shows a humorous, passionate, occasionally intimate, bitter-sweet story of growing up. The Sixth Happiness, rather than being about a brave, disabled character, is about rising maturity. Some of the documentaries by Firdaus Kanga include Double The Trouble, Twice The Fun, and Taboo. He lives in London, United Kingdom.
