Avinash Kharshikar is a veteran actor and producer who worked in the Marathi film industry for more than 5 decades. He has been in and around many film projects. He made his debut as an actor way back in 1983 on Baiko Asavi Ashi. His next movie was the super-hit Gharcha Bedi, where he portrayed the memorable character of Dr. Vaman.
He has since appeared in over 40 films and TV serials like Baap Ka Baap, Tulas Aali Ghara, Maherchi Pahuni, Ghayal, Majha Chakula and Chalu Navra Boli Baiko. In 2006, he produced Majha Navra Tujhi Bakro.
Avinash Kharshikar is popular for his films, including Sau Shashi Deodhar, Lapwa Chhapwi, Bakula Namdev Ghotale, Kiss Bai Kiss, 'Aadhar,' 'Aai Thor Tujhe Upkaar' and Parwane and the hit plays that had Avinash are Apradh Mich Kela, Saujanyachi Aishi Taishi, Tujhe Aaye Tujpashi and Vasuchi Sasu. The Marathi actor impressed the theater and cinema audience with his natural performance. Right from 1978, he is into the theater industry and entertaining the audience with his humor sense.
Avinash was not well in the recent days and had been taking rest at his home. On 8th October 2020, the actor had a massive heart attack and was rushed to a Thane private hospital. His body couldn't recuperate to the medications and the doctors announced him dead at 10 am.
