He was born on May 26, 1970, at Maigra, Imamganj, Gaya. The actor also pursued a bachelor’s degree in legislative law from Magadh University. But he dropped out of college to pursue his passion for acting. His first released film was the 1980 film Aakrosh (1980). He played the villain. But Khan debuted in the film industry with Kalka (1983) as the character Gopi. In his initial days, he played villains in various films such as Eent Ka Jawab Pathhar (1982), Quadi (1984), and Teri Maherbaniyan (1985). The actor played the main antagonist in the film Rahemdil Jallat (1985).

He played Police Inspector in films like Qahar (1997) and Shaitani Atma (1998). His other Bollywood films are Mehndi (1998), Sarfarosh (1999), Kohram (1999), Taj Mahal (1999), Aaya Toofan (1999), Pukar (2000), and many more.
