Aasif Khan

A prominent face in the OTT platform, Aasif Khan is an actor who is known for his roles in Mirzapur, Panchayat, and Paatak Lok. Also, he has worked as a casting associate in the past. Born to Ayyub Khan and Firdous Ayyub Khan on 13th March 1991, Aasif Khan grew up in the town of Nimbahera in Chittorgarh district in Rajasthan, along with his two brothers and a sister. He took part in his school competitions, which fuelled him with the dream of becoming an actor. His father’s death in 2008 shattered his entire family. So, he took up menial jobs to support his family. In 2010, he decided to move to Mumbai against the wish of his family when he just completed his 11th grade. Moving to Mumbai wasn’t easy as Aasif Khan expected. Initially, he worked in a hotel as a server and then quit the job to work in a mall. Disappointed with not getting many chances, Aasif Khan went back to Jaipur to learn the basics of acting through theatre. In the meantime, he appeared as a junior artist in the movies Agneepath and Ready and shows like Collector Sahab and Crime Patrol. Aasif Khan joined Sarthak and Ujaagar Theatre group Jaipur in 2011 and started his journey as a theatre artist.

For his short film ‘Vacancy,’ Aasif Khan has received best actor awards AT Cineshorts by Viacom18 awards and Skylight Film Festival. Some of his short films are Sorry and Click. Aasif Khan got his first main-length role in the movie ‘India’s Most Wanted’ in 2019.

The year 2020 is a significant year for Aasif Khan as four of his web series got released. Following Mirzapur and Humorously Yours, he acted in Netflix’s Jamtara -Sabka Number Ayega, Amazon Prime Video’s Panchayat, Paatal Lok, and Mirzapur: Season 2, all of which raised his fame to another level. He played the role of Parchun in the 2021 released movie Pagglait.
