Bhadrakant Zaveri was a Gujarati writer. He was born on October 11, 1937. He has worked predominantly for over three decades as a Writer. He has contributed 35 one-act, and 20 full-length plays to the Gujarati Theatre. From 1985 to 1988, he directed many one-act, and eleven full-length plays in different languages, and acted in around fifty plays. He has also produced five plays, namely Vahaali Aavi Sapnaa Lavi, Bhavai Ek Praacheen Ek Arvaacheen, Chhe To Aa Natak, Saap-Seedi, and Ghatna, under the banner of Anaagat that, is a theatre production company, founded by him. He founded a theatre magazine named Samvaad, and published it in Vadodara. He worked as the editor of Samvaad from 1970 to 1971.

He has won numerous awards for his one-act plays, independently written by him. He won the Best Performance Trophy for Chaandapoli in 1961, Bagadiyo Bagdyo in 1962, Cheena Meena Chaun Maun in 1963, Olkhaan in 1966, Usha e Shun Joyun, Raat Padi Ghar Jaane Baalak, and Brahm Latakaan Kare in 1967, and Kataakshman in 1969. He won Best Original Play Script for Usha E Shun Joyun in 1967, Brahm Latkaan Kare in 1968, and Kataakshman in 1970. Some of his excellent plays include Eklun Kalu, Ta Telephone No Ta, Bichaara Jaan No Vesh, and Shikaar, and full-length plays include Manju-Manju, E Ishvar Bhajiyan Tale, Mina Mena Mona, Mautni Mulakaat, Door Door Aara, Chhe Ne Aa Chhokri, Svapna Menka, Vahaali Aavi Sapna Laavi, Saachun Sagpan Sathvaaro, Haa, Ghatna, Saap Seedi, and more.

He founded a design studio, Art & Attitudes, in partnership with designer and artist Bharati Kapadia, specializing in the production and design of art material like Posters, Books, Catalogues, and Art Consultancy for Contemporary Indian Art Collectors, and Turkey Exhibition Projects. The day he returned from Chennai, in October 1993, he was seriously injured in a Bomb Blast at Maatunga Railway Station in Mumbai, and died the same night. He died on October 29, 1993.
